Each difficulty and the chase variant generate a different experience of the same date, so they each have their own leaderboard. An Easy run is never compared against a Hard run, and chase runs are pooled only with other chase runs. That keeps every comparison honest. The modes guide explains what each setting changes.
No-chests practice runs stay local on your device and never post to the public board, so you can drill the pure puzzle without affecting the standings.
